Wheelchair pad that makes a great lap pad!
Our son has plenty of sensory issues. One product that he absolutely loves is his weighted lap pad. The one that we have I discovered by accident. I had purchased Akton Pads for him to sit on. They’re sort of like gel, but they’re a solid material, so you never bottom out. Super heavy, and with evenly distributed weight, I found them far superior to any traditional weighted lap pad. No corn cobs that move and bunch up into one spot like his weighted blanket. It’s flexible, washable, and I highly recommend them. They’re available in a variety of thicknesses, and I highly recommend that you purchase one of the covers that are available because the pad will eventually rip if you use just a pillow case like I did.
