The Disability Support Network is an online network of people with Special Needs and their caregivers. This also includes the professionals and suppliers that devote their time and efforts to creating a better world for those with Special Needs.

Just a quick note about the name of the site: it has always bothered me a little that I used the word disAbility. I would rather have used the name Special Needs Network, or named it Nickadoo’s, after my son. But after much research, I discovered that the name of the site and search engine ranking have a lot to do with each other. And with basically NO advertising budget, I went with the word that was googled far more often – disability. Bummer.

Now a little about what this site is all about: Networking the Special Needs community in order to help people find support, resources, products and even some tips in dealing with issues that can arise.

Updates in Your In-Box

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to sign up to receive web site updates via Email. Just look for the little ENews and Updates box in the upper right hand corner. Enter in your email address and follow the instructions.

* In order to cover the expense and time of creating and maintaining this web site, I have become an affiliate marketer. What this means is that when you click on Buy From Amazon, or on any of the banners, and possibly pictures of products, they contain my affiliate number and I receive a % of the sale. I don’t do this because I wish to get rich off of my members. I do this because this networking site is my passion. I have decided that all I want to do for work is to help the Special Needs community in the best way that I know how – through this site. I work on it full time, starting at 2 or 3 in the morning. The small % of profit that I get from any sales that come from members clicking on links here is my only paycheck, which to date has been less then $10, so my actual profit is zero so far. I pay out of pocket for hosting and the programs used to run this site. Hopefully someday….
